WEB commemorates 5 years without a black out on Bonaire

Kralendijk, July 2nd, 2020 – Recently Water- en Energie Bedrijf Bonaire ( WEB) commemorated 5 years without a black out on Bonaire. WEB honored this occasion by showing its appreciation for the people that made this possible through their dedication, hard work and professionalism.

The bases for this commemoration is a strong alliance between WEB and Contour Global Bonaire that together are responsible for the electricity supply on Bonaire. In the period 2016 – 2019, whilst Contour Global Bonaire was working on their plans to introduce more renewable and reliable energy, WEB assumed its responsibility for Bonaire and re-introduced Aggreko in order to continue to guarantee the supply of electricity to the
island of Bonaire.

As part of this commemoration WEB also recognizes the contribution and cooperation of several local companies and partners that supported WEB through difficult times.

WEB and its partners are extremely proud to keep serving the community of Bonaire in its entirety and will continue to do all that is necessary in order to provide renewable and reliable electricity for the future.
