Abstract: To do their best work, people need to feel secure and safe in their workplace. Studies have shown that teams with higher rates of psychological safety are better at driving higher employee engagement and performance. This keynote aims to assist in understanding the concept of psychological safety and to help you identify what might be hindering psychological safety in your teams. A lack of psychological safety in a work environment can result in significant business risk. I would also be discussing the importance of psychological safety and the various actions to help you build a psychologically safe workplace.
