Abstract: People are at the center of driving innovation in the advancement of resilient energy systems. RMI’s Energy Transition Academy (ETA) is designed to equip energy practitioners with the tools, training, and community connections to ensure a successful energy transition. This session will highlight the ETA’s Global Fellowship Program, with a focus on the inaugural Caribbean program, currently underway in partnership with Bahamas Power and Light, British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation, and Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority. Participants will gain insight into the importance of partnership in advancing innovation and providing unique training opportunities for renewable energy development. This session will preview upcoming opportunities later in 2022 for fellowship participation from additional CARILEC member utilities.
