Castries, Saint Lucia, April 27th, 2023: CARILEC successfully hosted its first event for 2023: the Human Resource, Corporate Communications and Customer Service (HRCCCS) Conference, held at the Hyatt Regency in Trinidad & Tobago from March 29th to 31st 2023. The conference brought together over fifty (50) human resource, corporate communications, and customer service professionals from eleven (11) member electric utilities, two (2) Independent Power Producers (IPPs), and one (1) Associate Member. The event featured prominent speakers from each discipline, who delivered very interactive and engaging presentations on pertinent and trending topics, under the theme, “Putting People First: Compassionate Approaches to Human Resource Management (HRM), Corporate Communications and Customer Care”.
The conference also featured in-depth and solution-based discussions, extensive networking, comradery, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, all in one exciting and stimulating event. The conference’s line-up of speakers was nothing short of extraordinary, with each one bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the stage.

The Caribbean Electric Utility Service Corporation (CARILEC) is an association of energy solution providers and other stakeholders operating in the electricity industry in the Caribbean. CARILEC was established in 1989 with nine (9) members as part of an electric Utilities modernization project funded by USAID and implemented by NRECA under a five-year “Co-operative Agreement.” Currently, CARILEC comprises over one hundred members.
