CARILEC Linesman Symposium and Rodeo
May 29-June 4, 2017, Grenada
CARILEC Linesman Symposium and Rodeo is a six-day event with a series of training activities planned for building capacity and sharpening expertise for the safe execution of linesman work; these events occurred during the week of May 29-June 3, 2017. Topics of leadership, safety and emerging technologies were explored where linesmen were engaged in discussions, hands-on activities, group work and a technical tour of the GRENLEC plant.
On Jun 4, 2017, a horn blast signaled the start of CARILEC Linesman Rodeo in Morne Rouge, Grenada. Seven utilities comprising ten teams battled for the coveted title of champion of the rodeo in six events.

It was a combination of full and associate member collaboration that brought that success to CARILEC 2017 Linesman Symposium and Rodeo.
CARILEC Associate Member, the Institute of Safety in Power Line Construction (ISPC) and T&D Power Skills were the main sponsor of the event; Buckingham was the supporting sponsor and Grenada Electricity Services Ltd was the gracious host; members of staff from the Secretariat gave their usual support.
