CARILEC Unveils New Website
CASTRIES, St. Lucia, February 20th, 2017 – The Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC) announced today the launch of its newly revamped website, www.carilec.org . Key features of the revamped website include a cleaner and more attractive design, a more engaging user-friendly experience with enhanced search and navigation throughout, affording users easy access to essential information and videos which can be shared across all major social networking sites.
Redesigned with the user experience in mind the new website places a special emphasis on functionality, is intuitive and has been designed using the latest technology so that the site is compatible with today’s browsers and mobile devices-without the need for Adobe® Flash® to view it.
Furthermore, the new website allows CARILEC Members to register for a user account, logging in to access information from the members only section such as Annual Reports; Industry Journals; Photo Albums; Newsletters; Request for Proposals and Tenders; Technical Studies; Position Papers; Membership Listing and other data.

Part of CARILEC’s Digital Transformation Strategy is to continue growing our digital footprint globally in this ever-changing digital age, through our website and social spaces. The website will be updated on a daily basis with regional utility news, vacancies in the region, conferences and training updates, so we encourage visitors to explore the website and sign up for our event updates. ”
The Caribbean Electric Utility Service Corporation (CARILEC) is an association of electric utilities, suppliers, manufactures and other stakeholders operating in the electricity industry in the Caribbean. CARILEC was established in 1989 with nine (9) members as part of an electric utilities modernization project funded by USAID and implemented by NRECA under a five-year "Co-operative Agreement." Currently, CARILEC comprises a total of one hundred and ten (110) members. This includes thirty six (36) Full Members that are electric utilities, sixty-nine (69) Associate Members that are companies involved in some aspect of servicing the electric utility business and five (5) Affiliate Members.
