Media monitoring technology to drive output for Caribbean utilities
Data driven solutions such as media monitoring could be the next big step in service solutions for utility companies across the Caribbean.
The 2018 Caribbean Electric Utilities Corporation (CARILEC) will focus on enhancing communication techniques, best practices and utilizing technology driven solutions at their annual conference, which is sponsored by the Caribbean’s first full service media monitoring agency: DRT Communications.
The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has collaborated with CARILEC to host the Human Resource, Corporate Communications and Customer Service Conference & Tradeshow in Jamaica. The theme for this year’s conference is “Re-Engineering our Energy Future: a Utility in a Disruptive Age” and presentations will focus on the technological revolutions which are currently transforming the electricity and utility business. The conference will feature interactive sessions on best practices in service delivery, reputation and crisis management.
“JPS is delighted to co-host this year’s conference. Corporate Communications, Human Resources and Customer Service are critical components in the smooth and efficient delivery of service in any type of utility. This opportunity to share best practices with critical stakeholders in the business, is one of the ways in which we, as Caribbean utilities, can advance the quality of our service and enhance our business models,” said Director of Corporate Communications and Customer Experience, Winsome Callum.
CARILEC hosts four conferences across the country each year geared at creating opportunities to build capacity in the region, share knowledge, gain better exposure in the Caribbean region and provide valuable networking opportunities.
