CARILEC Expands into Executive Coaching to Strengthen Regional Productivity and Compassionate Leadership

Castries, Saint Lucia, May 15th, 2023: The region’s premier electric energy solutions provider, CARILEC, has launched a new learning and development program, as part of its suite of services.  The Coaching and Leadership Virtual Symposium will provide attendees with information on coaching theories and practices impacting performance, leadership, and lifestyle.  The symposium is targeted towards professionals who would like to improve their productivity and effectiveness in the workplace, are aspiring towards leadership positions in their respective organizations, or seeking to achieve personal goals which will enhance their quality of life.  With certified coaches from the Caribbean and beyond, the Coaching and Leadership Virtual Symposium will cover critical subject areas such as ‘The Science of Coaching’, ‘The Coaching Approach to Leadership’, and ‘The Positive Psychology of Coaching’ to name a few.  This event is free of charge and will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST on May 31st, 2023.

The Coaching and Leadership Symposium will feature five (5) certified coaches originating from the Caribbean and international jurisdictions.  CARILEC’s very own Learning and Development Manager, Ms. Laurena Primus heads the speaker line-up having obtained her coaching credentials from the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute in the United States.  She is currently working towards attaining an International Coaching Federation (IFC) credential this year. Laurena has also been certified as a Social and Emotional Intelligence (SEI) Coach through The Institute of Social and Emotional Intelligence, an international learning and research organization.  As an SEI Coach, she partners with professionals in mid-level leadership positions, so that they can boldly navigate the vagaries of the leadership landscape to attain leadership excellence.

Laurena believes that while SEI cannot guarantee perfection; it does promise excellence over time, when combined with self-awareness and willpower.  She goes on to say that “Coaching is quite an effective tool in recognizing leadership talent and developing it to its full potential.  It can assist in so many facets of one’s life.  Coaching greatly assists in creating a positive mindset shift in individuals and provides them with practical techniques to achieve success.  The power of coaching is limitless and has transformed so many lives from the classroom to the boardroom and everywhere in between.  CARILEC wants to bring this powerful resource to its members and industry professionals so that they can witness positive transformation in their personal and corporate lives. As a result, they can truly embody compassionate leadership which has been proven to enhance productivity by inspiring, motivating, and empowering employees.  This we believe is the hallmark of exemplary leaders and organizations.”

Additionally, Lisa Dublin joins the speaker line-up for the May 31st symposium.  She is a certified health and life coach who helps professional and executive women steadily progress in both their personal and professional lives, so that they can enjoy all round success. Lisa is also a speaker and writer who holds an MA in Literatures in English from the University of Alberta.

Also on the speaker line-up for this event is John Minyard who possesses over four (4) decades of experience in developing executive leadership and team building. Throughout his career, he has solved common organizational challenges such as setting goals and attaining them, developing clear and concise objectives, and formulating a strategic plan for maintaining accountability across a hierarchy. John was recognized as “Coach of the Year” among his peers due to his stellar leadership and coaching skills.

Another prominent lifestyle coach on the event line-up is Asya Grigoryan, an ICF certified coach with four (4) years of experience in leadership and career coaching and 15 years of experience in talent and change management, organizational development, and business consulting.  Asya speaks four (4) languages including English, French, Russian, and Armenian; and has partnered with more than 30 young leaders on enhancing their leadership skills, as well as with CEOs of small and medium companies.

Also slated to join the speaker line-up is Lisa Sansom, the owner of LVS Consulting, a Canadian-based boutique consulting firm that helps to build positive and effective organizations. Lisa shares positive psychology tools and techniques with her clients through speaking, corporate training, consulting, and coaching. Her clients come from a variety of industries including finance, education, technology, government, law, not-for-profit and health care. Lisa has been working in organizational and leadership development and change management since 2000.
