PRESS RELEASE
CARIELC ASSISTS IN GIVING LIGHT TO OUR WORLD

Member corporations of the Caribbean Electric Utilities Corporation (CARILEC) have taken another step towards the realization of their individual and collective goals, with the release of the Corporation's first annual magazine, which is appropriately titled “AGLOW” – which stands for “Assisting in Giving Light to Our world”

Since its release, the 60 page glossy and picture-filled magazine has earned the plaudits of CARILEC's members, who regard it as a magazine “of exceptional quality”.

“AGLOW” features some the major administrative changes made by CARILEC's Secretariat over the past year to improve member services in areas such as: corporate re-branding; the revival of Tariff Surveys; and the conduct of the first Caribbean Benchmark Study of member utilities.

The magazine also informs readers about the customer outreach efforts of CARILEC members and highlights the outcomes of regional events held by the Secretariat dealing with training; membership in international professional institutes; and the establishment of strategic alliances with international electricity associations.

The magazines features articles on a broad range of issues that are of concern to CARILEC's membership and to consumers of energy services such as: renewable energy development; generation expansion planning; financing of capital projects and the use of geographic information systems in energy planning.

GLOW was published by CARILEC, produced Visual Domain Ltd. of Saint Lucia and printed by SCRIP J Printers of Trinidad and Tobago.
