PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS ADDS CARILEC WEB SITE AS A RESOURCE IN THEIR GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE INTRANET
CARILEC news page · Member news · Features · Home

Big five consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has added the CARILEC web site to its KnowledgeCurve global intranet, which connects the global PWC organisation of over 140,000 partners and employees located in 152 countries.

As the firm's central communications and knowledge-sharing tool, KnowledgeCurve is the forum and foundation for PWC's knowledge management strategies and initiatives. In addition to delivering content of interest to the entire global PWC organisation, KnowledgeCurve also includes home pages for each of PWC's service lines, industry groups and countries and provides access to internally generated content, as well as links to sites on the World Wide Web.

A key feature of KnowledgeCurve is its Research Centres, which include links to world class information resources available on the Web that PWC people need access to on a regular basis.

In an e-mail to CARILEC, PWC stated: "Our team of information specialists have identified and evaluated these resources and, once permission is obtained, KnowledgeCurve links directly to these sites. This way, we are able to deliver the most appropriate information resources upfront to our professionals, saving their time and providing all professionals access to the same high quality information. Your site is one that we have identified and would like to include in the Research Centre located on KnowledgeCurve's 'Global Research Centre' home page"

KnowledgeCurve is a recognized leader among corporate intranets, having
received the following awards since its initial development.

  • 1998: CIO Web Business 50/50 Top 50 Intranet, CIO Magazine
1998: BOTI (Business on the Internet) Best Intranet, Internet Week
1997: 25 Most Innovative Intranets, Information Week
1996: 25 Most Innovative Intranets, Information Week
