CARILEC APPOINTS PROJECTS MANAGER

CARILEC is pleased to announce the appointment of Lawrence Benjamin formerly of the Dominica Electricity Services (DOMLEC) as Projects Manager. Mr. Benjamin assumed duties at the CARILEC Secretariat on Monday, May 3rd 2004. A Dominican national, Mr. Benjamin is the Electrical holder of a BSC in Electrical and Computer Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineering (MIEE). From June 1989 up to April 2004 to be served DOMLEC as a Power System Distribution Engineer, Supply Planning Manager and IT Engineer.

As Projects Manager, Mr. Benjamin will be responsible for coordinating all Technical Studies, regional surveys and special projects undertaken by the Secretariat as well as special surveys initiated by members and provide technical support to member utilities.
