| Who Can Join
There are three classes
of membership, Full Member and Associate Member.
The
classification, entitlements and dues are outlined
below
FULL MEMBER:
This category is reserved
for electric utilities. There are thirty (28)
utilities spanning the length and breadth of
the Caribbean and representing a number of market
segments which include:

ASSOCIATE MEMBER:
Reserved for companies
directly providing the utilities with equipment,
materials, supplies, expert knowledge and services.
There are thirty-eight (35) Associate Members,
made up mainly of international companies servicing
the wider energy sector. Most of these companies
have Sales and Service offices in the United
States and the Caribbean.
This class of membership
is usually reserved for suppliers of materials,
equipment and services to the power industry.
The benefits of Associate
membership are:
- Attendance at general
meeting without voting rights.
- Receive copies free
of charge of all activity catalogues, some
surveys and publications. Other surveys will
be supplied at a fee.
- Registration fee at
seminars and conferences at a lower price
than non-members.
- Allowed to participate
in all training and some joint activities
coordinated by CARILEC.
- CARILEC will undertake
to supply special information and investigation
at a fee.
- Associate Members
allowed to give short promotional presentations
at conferences.

AFFILIATE MEMBERS:
This category of membership
is reserved for Governmental or Quasi-Governmental
bodies, Educational
Institutions, like Associations and Non-Profit
Corporations.

Products and Services
- Co-ordination of high-quality
engineering, technician, administrative and
managerial training as well as accreditation
and certification programmes;
- Co-ordination of regional conferences for
senior professionals in the fields of engineering,
finance, information systems, purchasing, customer
service, human resource and executive management;
- Registration of industry consultants and facilitation
of consultancy services;
- Management of disaster planning and a regional
hurricane restoration programme;
- Co-ordination of regional technical studies
and operational surveys;
- Co-ordination of regional attachment and secondment
arrangements from one utility to another or
from one utility to CARILEC;
- Implementation of special projects independently
or in collaboration with other agencies and
institutions;
- Publication of various information documents
including an annual magazine and an Industry
Journal;
- Collection, compilation and dissemination
of electric utility data and tariff information
on member utilities;
How to Join
Signed membership application
forms should be submitted to the CARILEC office
accompanied by the joining fee of US$250.00 and
the relevant Annual Dues:
- Full Members $5,500.00
- Associate Members $3,000.00
